AN ASSESSMENT OF THE FINANCIAL (UN)SUCCESS OF MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES IN THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA

The aim of this research is to evaluate financial (non)success ofmedium-sized enterprises in the Republic Serbia (RS). The assessment has been carried out in sectors C – Manufacturing industry, G - Wholesale and retail trade; motor repair vehicles and motorcycles (Trade), then sector A - Agriculture, forestry and fisheries (Agriculture), F - Construction, and at the level of all medium-sized enterprises in RS. The sectors were selected according to the number of registered medium-sized enterprises. The subject of investigation are key financial performance indicators gathered from summary balances of observed sectors in 2018. year. Data were obtained from Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia (SBS). The aim of the research was realized by applying the methods of financial analysis and Altman Z-score model. The purpose of the research is identifying the likelihood of bankruptcy in the above sectors and at the level of all medium-sized enterprises in RS.
