The foundation of the Association of Internal Auditors of Serbia as an affiliate of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) was a kind of project that, prompted by the needs of the profession and by support from the international environment, was realized by virtue of enormous enthusiasm and voluntary work of internal audit professionals. The quality of the work of all participants in this project contributed to its becoming a full member of the IIA in a relatively short period of time.
